The Talented Mr.Ripley (Orange 2LP) Michael Giacchino | Lost leading the musicians down inspiredThe musical selections chosen by director Anthony Minghella for The Talented Mr. Ripley are largely inspired by the character of jazz enthusiast Dickie Greenleaf (played by Jude Law). Jazz recordings by Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, among others, are interwoven with excerpts from Gabriel Yared's Oscar nominated score. Vocal performances by cast members Matt Damon, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow appear on the album's opening tracks.
